About the Teacher:
Nature is my main focus in creating art. I illustrate the emotion behind the object, not just the object itself. I typically draw with charcoal or pencil, but taking an art class in Kailua Hawai'i stretched my limits and I experimented with acrylics. Because of all the amazing contrasts of color and life in the islands, painting with acrylics enhances the emotion of any landscape. I am excited to start working on my new canvas in Colorado. No longer am I in the lush tropical climate, but placed in the harsh desert filled with a palate of rich browns, beautiful reds, and shades of grey.
